CYTYC ThinPrep 3000 Processor

The Hologic / Cytyc ThinPrep 3000 processor is a device that produces cytological preparations on glass microscope slides from gynecological (cervical) specimens, and is intended for use in cervical cytological examination of material collected for the ThinPrep Pap test.

Microscope slides prepared by Hologic / Cytyc with ThinPrep 3000 processor are examined by trained cytotechnologists and pathologists for the presence of atypical cells, cervical neoplasia including precursor lesions (low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions and high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions) and carcinoma as well as all other cytologic criteria as defined by the Bethesda system for reporting cervical/vaginal cytologic diagnoses.

Throughput:

3 batches of 80 slides per 8-hour shift. Up to 60,000 samples per year with a single 8-hour shift.

Capacity:

80 sample vials (two trays of 40 injection vials) per batch. 2 cartridges of 100 ThinPrep 3000 microscope slides. 2 trays of 100 ThinPrep 3000 filters. 4 slide color racks with 20 slides each.
